------------------------------- MINUTES -------------------------------------
Bob Ross conducted the meeting.
Weston Beal recorded the minutes.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:
 - None

Review of previous meeting minutes:
Minutes from the 6 JUN 2023 meetings were reviewed. Randy Wolff moved to
approve the minutes. Lance Wang seconded. Without objection the minutes were
approved.

Call for opens:
 - Michael Mirmak sent an email to the task group email list requesting a
version override option for the parser. Maybe we will discuss this today.

AR review:
 - Weston will create a bug report to correct the text of the AMI executable
error to not say architecture but error in loading library.
   working on BUG245

New ARs:

Discussion:
a. (BUG245)_draft1 - Pending BUG regarding Platform in AMI
Weston showed the draft of the bug report for discussion. The group revised
the suggested error text for the bug report.

b. BUG243_draft2 - Graham Kus Mathworks, etc. Make File Warning messages
   during architecture compile with:
“<file name> warning: variable ‘<variable name>’ set but not used
   [-Wunused-but-set-variable]
Bob presented the latest draft of the bug report. He noted that he copied
some compilation requirements from the development contract as background
for this bug. Mic Schader said that the -Wall option to gcc does not
necessarily print all warning that the compiler finds. Some newer warnings
   are created by different options.
The question from Atul in previous email discussion is which compilers and
their versions are expected to be tested for the warnings. The platforms
are Linux and Windows. The compilers are gcc and Visual Studio, more
specifically, gcc on Linux and Visual Studio (cl) on Windows. The group
agreed to specify version 2017 of cl and version 7.1 of gcc as the minimum
versions that should be checked for the identified warnings.

c. Quality Specification and checklist power-aware discussion.
Weston said he did not receive feedback so will submit the updated
specification to the open forum for review and approval.

d. BUG244_draft2 - Randy Wolff’s write-up based on Arpad Muranyi’s original
concern discussed on May 2, 2023.
The bug report did not change from last week. Randy noted that he sent an
email to report his investigation of this bug correlated with BUG228.
BUG228 introduced the error check and message involved in this BUG244.
Randy reviewed the different conditions for testing using [IBIS Ver] values
and the expected parser error results.

 - Bob asked about Michael Mirmak's request to add a parser command-line
parameter to override the IBIS version ([IBIS Ver] keyword) used in
checking. Bob and Weston oppose this request. It adds complexity to the
parser and adds no real advantage. The better method to alter the checking
is to edit the text of the file and change the value of the [IBIS Ver]
   keyword.

Tabled topics (no discussion without motion):
a.	Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) investigation (Security fixes
    continuation), (TSCHK2, BUG6)
b.	TSCHK2 V2.02 BUG5 and BUG6 (implementation on hold)

Weston moved to adjourn. Randy seconded. Without objection the meeting ended.

Meeting ended: 1:16 pm ET

Next meeting 20 JUN 2023
